Tri Delta Excellence Awarded

Phi Upsilon has some exciting news that we recently received. Our chapter has been awarded as a One Star Chapter!!! This is a HUGE accomplishment and we are all very excited about this honor! It took a lot of work from the members and women before us to get to where we are now, and we are grateful to everyone who put in any effort to continually make our chapter better. I know you are feeling the same excitement and pride in our chapter that we, as members, are feeling. Thank you all so much for your continued support!

Recruitment

Membership Recruitment(formerly known as “rush”) at Oklahoma State University is a formal, six day process in which participants will attend events at each of the eleven NPC sorority chapters on campus. Throughout the week, potential new members will get the opportunity to learn about chapter membership as well as the many exciting aspects of being in a sorority at OSU. Click here for the 2010 Recruitment schedule (when available). Or click here for online registration.

Recruitment can be a little overwhelming in the beginning! Continue reading to find some general information on the recruitment process for women and legacies interested in becoming members of Tri Delta.

“Let’s found a society that shall be kind alike to all and think more of the girl’s inner self and character than of her personal appearance.” – Sarah Ida Shaw, founder

Because Delta Delta Delta is a member of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), it recruits new members under NPC's guidelines. The most common way to become a member of Delta Delta Delta is to participate in the formal recruitment (formerly known as rush) process. Please click here for the 2010 Recruitment schedule (when available) at Oklahoma State. Or click here to complete online registration.

Tri Delta also offers potential new members the opportunity to participate in a process called continuous recruitment (CR). There are fewer Panhellenic rules for CR because it is an informal process. Chapter members might entertain potential members through a variety of activities, including but not limited to attending intramurals, participating in a community service or philanthropy event, helping with a homecoming event or watching television or a movie at the chapter house. For more information about CR opportunities at OSU, please contact the panhellenic office of Greek Life.
